How to bid

Placing a bid
  1. Once you know the auction you wish to enter, simply click on it and choose one of the 3 routes to placing your bid (i.e. text ,online or account).
  2. Decide the lowest amount in pence you think the item will sell for, which no-one else will bid, i.e. the lowest unique bid.
  3. See below for instructions

  1. Text the correct keyword followed by your bid in pence eg. if the keyword is XBOX and you wish to make a bid of £1.28 then text XBOX 128.
  2. Send it to 88821 (UK) or 57721 (ROI).
  3. You will receive a confirmation text (see "Once you've made a bid" below).

  1. Complete the form online, you will need a mobile phone.
  2. Click Submit to send your bid
  3. You will receive a confirmation text (see "Once you've made a bid" below).

  1. Either set up a new account or use your existing account. It's easy!
  2. You will receive a confirmation text (see "Once you've made a bid" below).
Once you've made a bid...
  1. Wait for your reply to find out if your bid has been successful. You will receive one of the following 3 responses.

    2. Response 1; Congratulations, you are CURRENTLY the lowest unique bidder at XX pence for the (item). Your ref:XXXXXX. Bid again? Reply eg (keyword) 76

    Response 2; Your bid of XX pence for the (item) is unique, but it's not CURRENTLY the lowest. Ref:XXXXXX. Bid again? Reply eg (keyword) 76

    Response 3; Sorry, XX pence is not a unique bid for the (item). There are XX bids at this price. Your ref:XXXXXX. Bid again? Reply eg (keyword) 76

  2. Like any auction your bid can be knocked off. If this happens you will be informed by a free message and you can take action by bidding again. You have a limited number of bids for each auction.
  3. Repeat bids - if you make a bid which you have previously made you will not receive a message. Since:
    1. You could knock yourself off from a Lowest Unique Bid.
    2. You would be charged for this.
